STEADY STICK® for the Old Town Autopilot allows standing and fishing, or standing and riding confidently.

This version of our product proudly leverages several trusted industry companies products (RAM®, Ketch® and DU-BRO®) to make the entire system work for the Old Town Autopilot 120/136.

Configuration 1: Designed for installing on Old Town Autopilot gear track and included Ketch® 28 Inch - X-Aktrak HD Krossbar and 2x 2" Risers with rubber washers.

Configuration 2: Designed for installing on Old Town Autopilot gear track gear track and your own supplied crossbar. *** (For AP120 owners, please read below note) ***

Note: For AP120 owners, please don't assume the crossbar risers you have will automatically work with this system. There is limited gunwale track space on the AP120. For example, if you have the Boonedox Slotted Console with Boonedox Risers you'll need to make sure and have approx. 13.25" of available track space to accommodate the Steady Stick Housing (6.75"), the Boonedox Riser (5.00"), and the RAM Mounts B Track Ball (1.5") that will come with this configuration.

If you already have a crossbar/riser kit and are curious if it will work with the Steady Stick product line please reach out to bill.rigler@steady-stick.com. I'll be glad to give my assessment based on which crossbar you have before purchasing. 

Unlike other much larger brands in the kayak fishing accessory industry, my product currently isn’t mass produced. For example, other larger kayak accessory companies typically make 1,000 units of a product (or more) for a production run, and that can help bring cost per unit down for the customer. However, with this particular product and initial production run, I manufactured a much smaller amount of units which in turn brings the cost per unit up.

Additionally, to make the Steady Stick system work for this kayak it requires utilizing other trusted supplier products that we are bundling with your purchase in many available configurations. For example, we leverage products from Ram® Mounts, Ketch® and DuBro Fishing where we are required to sell their products at a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP).

On top of all that is a moderate margin that helps us keep the lights on and be able to offer you a best-in-class product guarantee and warranty.

Orders typically process same day, but could take one to three business days based on demand. Orders ship from our warehouse in Charlotte, NC USA. Customers will receive package tracking information if available via the email provided when purchasing.  

To start a return, you can contact us at sales@steady-stick.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

This product is not affiliated with the kayak brands we make it for. Important: This product is designed for standing balance assist and not meant for leaning significant body weight on like other casting bar products. Installation requires drilling four small holes in between the two hatch bins.
